Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is the practice of relaxation and restoration to invite deep release into the body systems. By releasing all effort we can achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Restorative yoga classes are relaxing and slow paced suitable for all levels of practice. Props, including blocks, bolsters, blankets and straps are used to support the poses comfortably for an extended periods of time. The parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated in Restorative Yoga promoting a relaxation response and reducing stress in the body. The parasympathetic nervous system is responsible for slowing the heart rate and breath, increasing the immune response and blood flow to vital organs.
Restorative yoga assists in easing the physical and mental effects of stress, and common health ailments such as headaches, backaches, anxiety, and insomnia using restful, floor based poses and deep breathing techniques.

Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a quiet contemplative practice and works deeply into the body with passive, longer-held poses and uses the wisdom of Traditional Chinese medicine in improving energy flow and the movement of chi energy throughout the organ body.
Yin targets the deepest, connective tissues and the deep fascia networks of the body. Yin works with the Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) meridian system to increase energy, builds stability around the joints and improves flexibility and openness.
Yin Yoga calms the mind & body, reduces stress & anxiety, increases circulation, improves mobility, balances organs and moves prana/chi energy.

 

Slow flow Vinyasa
Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga is a form of yoga that links the breath, movement, and poses together. The Sanskrit word, “Vinyasa,” means to 'place in a special way' and utilises connection between breath and movement
Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga allows beginners to learn how to move, breathe, and create flow. Slow flow brings time into the practice to create a reflective pause, and the time to go inward. Slow Vinyasa Yoga is a dance of moving meditation.
